As far as that LGF blog, well nobody said it was balanced and I don't think for a moment they have any intention of adhering to anyone's definition of "balanced". It just is what it is -- an independent, private blog, in which they have every right to discuss and analyze anything they darn well please. And the beauty of it is, you have every right not to read it, and you've every right to visit it and tell THEM (not me) what's wrong with their world view.

If you ask me, though, I think our world is in a real phase of radical transformation at the moment and 30-year-old notions of patronizing White Liberalism and Political Correctness are being used against "us". "They" are making nasty inroads into "our" civilizations. If we don't start thinking in the here and now, as well as the future, we are going to lose all that we've built over the last 2000 years.

It will be interesting to hear what today's 20- and 30-something White Liberals have to say in 20 years from now when their countries -- like the UK and Spain and Belgium -- are under Sharia Law, their daughters mutilated, alcohol outlawed, art outlawed, democracy outlawed and futbol replaced by camel races.

I think the French may have finally come to their senses and this may be a turning (back) point for them and Western Europe. We'll soon find out.

I speak from a feminist point of view in what my friends have told me about the local religion or the various feminist texts I've read from Muslim women. Can someone please clarify for me how women are equal in this country?

speaking from a male supremacist point of view, all women should be made to wear jilbab, regardless of their religion. it keeps them in their place. and we all know that's a Good Thing.
